Lawmakers Honor Delaware Electric Cooperative for Saving Members $1 Million on Prescriptions

GREENWOOD, Del.- Delaware lawmakers honored the Delaware Electric Cooperative Thursday night for saving members over $1 million through the Co-op Connections Card program. The program was first offered in 2008 and offers discounts to members on their prescriptions.

Representatives Harvey Kenton, Dave Wilson and Bobby Outten presented the tributes to Bill Andrew, President and CEO of the Co-op, in front of a crowd of more than 50 member-owners.

Members who use the card can save between ten and sixty percent on many prescription drugs. Tens of thousands of pharmacies across the nation are participating in the program. More than 150 Delaware businesses are also offering discounts to members who use the Co-op Connections Card.
