Delaware Electric Cooperative Float Wins First Place at Seaford Christmas Parade

GREENWOOD, Del.- Laura Phillips, a member of the Delaware Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors, helped Seaford residents get into the holiday spirit last Saturday night. Phillips, who has served on the board since 2009, represented the Co-op during the parade on a float her family constructed. Pictures of the award winning float are posted on our Facebook page.

The float featured a “Beat the Peak” sleigh and a light up Christmas tree. Giant fake candy canes and Christmas lights were also used to build festive power lines. Laura, her husband Ben and their son Cole all pitched in to help folks in Sussex County get into the Christmas spirit. Judges were so impressed with the float, it won first place in the parade. The Delaware Electric Cooperative congratulates Laura Phillips and her family on a job well done!

Laura Phillips represents the sixth district. She is a Vice President at M&T Bank.
