DEC Launches New Website

Delaware Electric Cooperative Launches Revamped Website to Better Serve Members

For Immediate Release: February 24th, 2012

GREENWOOD, Del. - Delaware Electric Cooperative is excited to launch its revamped website, designed to allow members to easily access DEC information and pay utility bills online. The new, which debuted in February, features a simplified look allowing members and businesses to quickly navigate the site.

The revamped website allows members to log into their ebill accounts right from the homepage. The homepage also includes links to a live outage map and a link for members to sign up and learn more about DEC’s “Beat the Peak” program.

A variety of safety and energy conservation tips are also included on the new website.

According to Rob Book, the Co-op’s Assistant Vice President of Member Services, “We redesigned the website to better serve our members. Our members have busy, hectic lives and our new webpage provides them with the tools they need to quickly take care of business.”

Delaware Electric Cooperative is also offering a new online video service on the website. The videos will help member-owners understand how the Co-op buys and generates power and how members can save money by changing how and when they use energy.

“We strive to effectively communicate with our member-owners. This website and the videos we produce will provide members with additional resources to help them understand the programs we offer and what makes our Co-op so unique,” said Book.

The new website was designed by Inclind Inc., based in Georgetown, Delaware.

Delaware Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility serving 84,000 member-owners in Kent and Sussex County, Delaware. For more information visit us on the web at or or follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
