Delaware Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Greenwood, DE is accepting applications for a Billing Analyst in our Billing/Finance Department. The Billing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that information, as it relates to billing the consumers, allocating and retiring capital credits, and all related documents, is accurately processed, delivered, and maintained in accordance with approved Cooperative procedures and established policies. The Billing Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily and monthly subsidiary billing and deposit accounts.
- Perform various related billing tasks, including but not limited to, rate changes, meter exchanges, service order changes, etc.
- Analyze all billing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure daily billing is processed accurately and timely.
- Create and review reports to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve billing issues before they occur.
- Understand the calculation of members’ bills using the Cooperative’s rate schedule.
- Willingness to work with other departments in solving problems and researching opportunities.
- Participate in audits when necessary.
- Review returned checks and adjustments to consumer accounts.
- Produce queries and reports on demand for analysis, management, and third parties.
- Understand and perform the capital credit functions of the Cooperative.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate posting of member payments.

Candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree with a Bachelor’s degree preferred with an accounting focus. Must have excellent computer skills and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the areas relating to accounting or other related utility functions or experience in (NISC billing software).
