Delaware Electric Cooperative is excited to launch a community solar program. For an extra $10 a month, Co-op members can power their home with clean, renewable solar energy! That’s the same price you pay for a few cups of coffee or for a Netflix account.
Benefits of Community Solar
- You’ll be able to power your home with renewable energy without going through the hassle of installing a costly system on your roof.
- There is no contract.
- Your investment will be used by the Co-op to expand its portfolio of clean energy, powering a brighter future for Co-op members.
- Residential members will only pay an extra $10 a month! The charge will be added to your monthly electric bill. This will not offset your energy use.
- Commercial members will be able to purchase blocks of renewable energy for $10 apiece. Commercial members can enroll by calling 855-332-9090. We'll work with you to determine the best option to meet your clean energy needs.
- Members who sign up for our community solar program will also be sent a special lighting conservation kit.
