Are you or someone you know a high school or homeschool senior, graduating in 2026? If so, you have the chance to earn a $1,500 scholarship offered through the Virginia, Maryland and Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives (VMDAEC) Education Foundation. Applying students must be served by one of VMDAEC’s member co-ops (in this case, DEC) and have plans to attend college or a trade school following their graduation this year. Applications include and are scored on three weighted criteria: financial need (40%), academic achievement (40%) and the student’s personal statement (20%).

If awarded the scholarship, students may use the funds they receive toward tuition, student fees, textbooks and/or room and board. Don’t wait — apply today! For more information about this scholarship opportunity, full eligibility requirements and to apply, visit vmdaec.com/scholarshipfoundation. All applications must be submitted by Friday, March 20.
