DEC is Committed to the Communities We Serve

Delaware Electric Cooperative’s dedication to our members goes beyond that of a reliable energy provider. Our top priority is always the people and places we power, and one way we demonstrate that is by working to keep electric rates as affordable as possible. The Co-op offers the lowest rates in Delaware, with members saving on average roughly $500 per year compared to those supplied by other utilities. As a not-for-profit, DEC supports like-minded organizations within our communities working to empower those we serve. Through offering educational programs and scholarship opportunities — such as the National Energy Foundation (NEF) classes in elementary schools, Youth Tour, our Summer Internship Program and more — DEC invests in the next generation of local leaders.
