On Tuesday, Aug. 11, the Co-op welcomed members to its 2026 Annual Meeting at Memorial Hall at the Delaware State Fairgrounds. This year, those in attendance were treated to ice cream from Vanderwende Farm Creamery and Hopkins Farm Creamery. They also had the opportunity to meet with Co-op employees, ask questions and learn more about our not-for-profit utility through featured DEC displays.

Following registration and refreshments, President and CEO Rob Book provided members with updates on the Co-op. Book’s speech focused on issues that matter most to members, including the Co-op’s continued focus on affordability and its approach to managing the impacts of large loads on our system. Book also recognized DEC’s 90th anniversary this year, reflecting on the Co-op’s humble beginnings and the journey that led to what the organization is today.
