Each year between 3,000 and 6,000 members attend our annual meeting at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. If it’s your first time attending our annual meeting, the following information may be helpful! When arriving at the Fairgrounds, please follow the parking attendants’ guidance and look for signs when parking.

Trams will be available to easily transport members from the parking area to the Centre Ice Rink and the Dover Building where the day’s activities will unfold. Upon arrival at the Centre Ice Rink, members will be asked to register. Members will need to show a picture ID to register (their name must be on the electric account).

After registering and receiving a raffle ticket, members can walk through our community fair, featuring dozens of nonprofits and community organizations. Once members have taken a stroll through the community fair, we recommend grabbing our famous fried chicken dinner and listening to the music of Junior Wilson, who will play in the Centre Ice Rink until 7:00 p.m.

After dinner, enjoy a lineworker demonstration just outside of the Ice Rink at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. After the lineworker demonstration, take a tram or walk over to the Dover Building to enjoy the music of the Jones Boys. They’ll play from around 6:00 p.m. until the business meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.

During the business meeting, Co-op President and CEO Rob Book will update members on important DEC news and projects and will answer questions from members.

Finally, don’t forget to drop your raffle ticket stub in the drawing container in the Dover Building. If you are present when ticket numbers are called, you could win a $50 billing credit!
